I miss and love ginamus. Ginamus, based on my research, is called Salted Fermented Fish. It is grey in color. Ginamus consists of small fishes. The taste is salty so its better to mix ginamus with calamansi to lessen the saltiness. Mix it with rice then you can die busog(full). :p

Saluyot

Saluyot (Jute Leaves) is one of my favorite vegetable. We make it as our daily vegetable soup back in Zamboanga City. Saluyot is like alugbati, they’re slimy. I don’t know if they are related though.

Saluyot is rich in beta-carotene which is good for eye sight (now we have a substitue for kalabasa/squash), iron for healthy red blood cells, calcium for strong bones, and vitamin C for beautiful skin.

If you want to be pretty and healthy, eat Saluyot!

Dried Salted Fish

I assume we all know what this Dried Salted Fish tastes like. Its salty and dry. In Zamboanga, we call it Pescao Seco (Pescao = fish, Seco = Dry) and Bulad in Bisaya. Best combination with tuba or pinakurat + rice or just with rice. It is also like eating Patis(fish sauce) with rice. If I have to choose between chicken and Dried Salted Fish, of course I would choose the salted fish!

Pinakurat

Described as hot spicy coconut vinegar, Pinakurat is best combined with lechon, pork, chicken, fish, rice, and everything you can think of. A must try for all Filipinos.

We have this potion-like item called Mojo in WeRule. It make constructions/plantings faster if you use it. For example, you are planting a one-day plant, instead of waiting for a day, just use Mojo and the plant can be harvested right away. Mojos are limited. You can earn it by leveling up. But if you are too addict with this game, you can buy Mojos for $4.99 which is not so practical.
You can also redesign your kingdom by dragging the buildings and all. But I am having a hard time dragging because sometimes it won’t drag. But no big deal, the game is still fun.

The downside of this game is that you need wifi to play. If you dont have a wifi connection, you cant play WeRule. You will only be stuck on the main screen. No social interaction. You cant communicate with your friends in the game. No messaging in-game.

You heard right, folks — according to the Wall Street Journal, Apple is currently “developing a new iPhone to debut this summer,” and as if that weren’t enough, it’s also “working on another model for US mobile phone operator Verizon Wireless.” As of this moment, details about the break are nowhere to be found, but it’s not like either tidbit is shocking. This summer will mark the one-year anniversary of the iPhone 3GS, and if the Cupertino-based company keeps with its historical refresh pattern, we’re just a few months out from seeing the latest and greatest iPhone. There’s also been no shortage of iPhone-to-Verizon rumors over the years, with the latest of ‘em happening during the run-up to the iPad’s launch.

Update: We’re now learning that the “next iPhone is being manufactured by Taiwanese contract manufacturer Hon Hai Precision Industry,” which just so happens to be the same outfit responsible for crafting all prior iPhones. That’s according to “people briefed on the matter” and sourced by the WSJ. It’s also stated that the world’s first CDMA iPhone will be manufactured by Pegatron Technology, which we caught just last week dabbling in some of NVIDIA’s Tegra 2-based wares. If all goes well, Pegatron could begin mass production of the CDMA iPhone (exact model not disclosed) this September, so it’s hard to say if Sprint or Verizon would have access before the all-too-lucrative holiday season. As for quotes on the matter? Most everyone involved wouldn’t say a word, but an AT&T spokesman did utter the following: “There has been lots of incorrect speculation on CDMA iPhones for a long time. We haven’t seen one yet and only Apple knows when that might occur.”

On a week that couldn’t possibly get any bigger for Apple, that’s exactly what just happened. Everyone suspected that a fourth-generation iPhone was in the works, but having an outlet like the WSJ confirm it just makes the summer that much harder to wait for. There’s also the possibility that 2010 will be the final year that AT&T retains its death-grip on the iPhone, but by the sound of this report, it still seems as if the nation’s largest GSM carrier may nab exclusive rights on the latest iPhone. We also can’t help but wonder about the future of a true 4G iPhone — will Sprint manage to grab a WiMAX-enabled version? Will Verizon get its grubby paws on an LTE model? We figured only Jobs would know, but now… there might just be someone else out there willing to spill the beans.

Update 2: Soon after the news broke, we were informed that the next-generation iPhone would be announced on June 22nd (a Tuesday, naturally) and would be dubbed the iPhone HD (a name that has been tossed around before). That certainly makes sense given that Apple almost certainly has to up the pixel count in order to rival the EVO 4G, HD2 and all of those other high-res handsets, but we’re still reserving judgment until we see that fateful media invite hit our inbox.

Update 3: John Gruber’s just weighed in with some more tidbits, in his characteristically polite way. Gruber says the next model will have an A4-class SoC, a 960 x 640 display, a front-facing camera, and that iPhone OS 4.0 will enable third-party multitasking. A pretty safe set of predictions, in all, but Gruber’s done pretty well in the past, so we’ll just have to wait and see.

Nintendo Co., Ltd. (Minami-ward of Kyoto-city, President Satoru Iwata) will launch “Nintendo 3DS”(temp) during the fiscal year ending March 2011, on which games can be enjoyed with 3D effects without the need for any special glasses.

“Nintendo 3DS”(temp) is going to be the new portable game machine to succeed “Nintendo DS series”, whose cumulative consolidated sales from Nintendo amounted to 125 million units as of the end of December 2009, and will include backward compatibility so that the software for Nintendo DS series, including the ones for Nintendo DSi, can also be enjoyed.

Nintendo has announced the 3DS, a new hand-held system set for release before March 2011 in Japan. This new system will be fully unveiled at this year’s E3 show in June.

While details are a bit slim as of now, the announcement stated the console would incorporate 3D technology without the need for players to wear special glasses. The 3DS will also be backwards compatible with all DS and DSi software.

Nintendo says this new portable machine will “succeed” the DS series. As of December 2009, the DS console has sold 125 million units worldwide.

Rumors of a new DS console have been buzzing for a while now. The latest instance came from President and CEO Satoru Iwata, when he reportedly told Japanese newspaper Asahi Shimbun the company was working on a DS successor that would have “highly detailed graphics” and use a sensor with the ability to “read the movements of people playing.” Another rumor suggested NVIDIA’s Tegra processor would power a new DS hand-held. Both of these reports remain unconfirmed as of now, however.

Nintendo has announced the successor to the Nintendo DS line of handheld gaming devices. It’s called the Nintendo 3DS, and it will include 3D effects without the glasses you have to wear to watch Avatar or 3D TV.

Nintendo’s press release [PDF] wasn’t sent to news outlets, but it’s sitting undisturbed at Nintendo’s website. It says the handheld console will launch in the fiscal year that ends in March 2011 (so late 2010 or early 2011), and that it will be fully unveiled at the E3 gaming expo in Los Angeles this June.

The 3DS will will add some motion sensing technology to its control scheme, and it will play your old DS and DSi games. Nintendo doesn’t say whether it will keep the two-screens-and-a-stylus layout that we’ve all become accustomed to on the existing handhelds.

Nintendo’s Wii and DS consoles have turned the video game world upside down, using unique control schemes and affordable hardware to attract millions of people who were never before interested in video games. 3D is already a big deal, and Nintendo hopes that whatever 3D tech it’s using will attract even more people to the video game hobby.

Note that Sony’s PlayStation 3 will go 3D on supported TVs this year, though, so Nintendo’s neither alone nor first.

The Details

Nintendo Japan has announced that they will present the newest portable console, the Nintendo 3DS, in June. The new handheld will offer 3D viewing without glasses. Here’s all the information we have gathered so far:

• With the announcement slated for E3 in June, Nintendo’s shooting a bit early in their Japanese press release by saying it will go on sale sometime between April 2010 – March 2011.

• You won’t need to wear 3D glasses to enjoy the 3D effects. This may work like Rittai Kakushi e Attakoreda, the Nintendo DSi game that uses the frontal camera to track the viewer eyes. By tracking the user’s eyes—a trick first shown by Johnny Chung Lee’s Wii hack—the machine can alter the perspective in the game to make it look as if the player is looking into a 3D virtual space.

• It’s unclear if this would be the only 3D element in the console.

• Backwards compatibility will be incorporated for DS and DSi games support.

• It may have an accelerometer for tilt-controls with motion-led gaming, just like the iPhone/iPod Touch.

• The screen might be higher-res than anything we’ve seen from Nintendo before, maybe reaching 720p—and measuring around the same size as the DS.

• It’ll have two screens just like previous portables, but they’ll be used in conjunction as one giant screen, according to RPAD.tv, who convinced developers to talk to them at GDC.

• A Tegra chip could be powering it.

• Nintendo might put a 3G sim in, for over-the-air downloads.

• Those over-the-air downloads might include ebooks, something already seen on the DSi XL.

UPDATE

• It’ll include two cameras (one backwards-facing, one forward-facing), just like the DSi—for DSi backwards compatibility support.

• The Japanese publication Asahi is claiming it’ll use one of Sharp’s parallax barrier LCDs.

• 3D control sticks may help with gaming, if Nikkei’s report is correct, and the 3DS itself could vibrate like an old Rumble Pak.
