Recently purchased a BB Curve 9300 for myself. Why? I don’t know. It just happened.

This phone is the entry level Blackberry phone. If you’re a starter like me, you can try this one first. The OS is OS 6. Higher models like the Bold and Torch use this OS too. So Curve users are lucky to be able to experience OS 6.

The apps I have in this phone are: Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo! Messenger, Google Talk, Windows Live Messenger, AOL. Because these are the only apps that I can use with my current plan. Not so much good apps unlike in iPhone.

Blackberry Messenger or BBM, I don’t use it that much as I have only about 4 friends and we are in different timezone. What I like about BBM is that you can send pictures and voice messages for free(included in the BB plan).

I don’t download/have games because i got my “Pouch” which has better games.

So this phone is mainly for social networking and text text text.

Nokia C3 and BB Curve 9300

The Nokia C3 is bigger in size. C3 has its own period button unlike Curve which you still need to press alt+m. Both has a 2megapixel camera. Both wifi-enabled. C3 wins when it comes to battery life. Curve only lasts 2 days. C3 lasts for 4 days.

I recently purchased JJC Lens Cap for my Panasonic Lumix LX5. It is an auto lens cap wherein you don’t have to take out the lens cap again when shooting.  JJC Lens Cap is easy to install. Just take out the lens ring then insert the JJC Lens Cap. That’s it!

This lens cap also fits with my leather case. Perfect combination!

If you’re wondering about vignetting issues with this lens cap, well, there’s none. Tried and tested. No vignettes in my shots, zoom in nor out.

Last December 2010, my colleagues and I went to Imperial Buffet for our Christmas lunch. Imperial Buffet has different kinds of food to choose from: Chinese, Japanese, Canadian, and other cultural cuisines. There are lots of deserts, cakes, and other fresh seafoods. Some foods that I can recall: Corn, Pork Sausages, Sushi,  Seaweeds, Spareribs, Fried Chicken, Fish, Siomai, Dumplings, Shrimps, Udon, and other typical chinese food. The cost is $10.99 per head but price may vary. It is reasonable though. No time limits unlike other buffets. Overall, its yummy!

I recently got an Apple Magic Mouse as a gift from my siblings last Christmas 2010. Yahoo!

Magic Mouse is the world’s first multi-touch mouse as advertised by Apple. It is a button-less mouse. The mouse itself is the button. This mouse connects to the Mac via bluetooth wireless technology. It uses two AA batteries. It has a powerful laser-tracking engine that is more sensitive and responsive than the normal optical mouse we see in the market. You can use this mouse on every surface – tables, your skin, bed, and many more.

I used to be a three-button optical mouse user. So it took me a while to get used to the Magic Mouse. But this device is amazing. It works like a charm with the multi-touch feature. You can do two-finger swipe to navigate through web pages or photos. Scroll without the scroll button we see on some of the mouse. I never tried the Mighty Mouse so I can’t really compare it with the Magic Mouse.

This device is also designed for ambidextrous people. If you want to use the mouse with your left hand, you can easily swap left and right button functionality using the System Preferences.

Pros:
- Multi-touch
- Powerful Laser-Tracking Engine
- Connects via Bluetooth wireless technology

Cons:
- Top surface of the Magic Mouse is prone to scratches. You might need to buy a protector (like Moshi’s MouseGuard) to avoid scratches.
- Too flat – Users coming from a “fat” mouse may suffer from wrist strain for a while.

A third-party software called BetterTouchTool lets you define more gestures for this device. You can do a three finger tap, three finger click, four finger tap and many more. Try it and you will love it.

Happy New Year guys! Another new year to start with. New year is like a counter that resets back to zero. Thus, we have the thing called New Year’s Resolution. It is a new life to begin. My NYR would be to lose weight. Ha! But let’s see how successful NYR is.
